Definition |
A note identifying the availability of cumulative indexes and/or finding aids whose only or major focus is the described material.
Use
field 510 to record the existence of abstracting and indexing services for an item.
For archival materials and visual materials, use for information identifying administrative and intellectual controls over the described materials and indicating the degree of control each provides. This usually implies finding aids and similar control materials.
For serials, use for a statement of volumes and/or dates covered by the cumulative indexes of an item and a statement of location of these indexes. Indexes may be issued as part of an issue of the serial or issued separately. |
