Before incorporating any local field into your cataloging workflow, contact your local system vendor. Indiscriminate or inconsistent use of a local field may adversely affect the consolidation of records and local data needed in the creation of a local system database.

Field 910 does not remain in the WorldCat record. It is retained in exported records and records delivered via other services.

Fields 901-907 and 945-949 may also be used for local data. They are repeatable and include the ability to define subfields as needed.
