Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer
Rick is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer. In this role, he oversees all OCLC enterprise activities related to finance, accounting and related Board of Trustees administration. He also oversees real estate holdings and OCLC’s investment portfolio.
Prior to joining OCLC in 1992, Rick was a partner with the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP. There, he was partner-in-charge of the Columbus, Ohio office’s Emerging Business Services practice where he directed the high technology and middle market audit practice. While in Columbus, he also served as a national partner in the retail and real estate industries.
Rick serves on the Columbus Metropolitan Library Foundation Board of Trustees and as past President. He is a member of The Center for Research Libraries Budget and Finance and Budget Committee and he is a past senior trustee of the American Library Association’s Endowment Fund and past treasurer of the Center for Research Libraries Board of Directors.
Rick is Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee of the Association for Corporate Growth- Columbus (ACG) and the Bridge Park New Community Authority, Dublin, Ohio. He is past board member of both the Dublin Arts Council and of the Dublin AM Rotary Charitable Foundation. In 2002, he was named Business Person of the Year by the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) and Financial Executives International (FEI).
