Keith Webster

Keith Webster is the Helen and Henry Posner, Jr. Dean of the University Libraries at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Appointed in 2013, he also serves as Director of Emerging and Integrative Media Initiatives, and in 2021 became the inaugural Posner Dean when the role was endowed by the Posner Foundation.

Before joining Carnegie Mellon, Keith served as Vice President and Director of Academic Relations and Strategy at John Wiley & Sons. He previously held leadership roles at the University of Queensland in Australia; Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand; and at several U.K. institutions, including HM Treasury and the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.

Keith has held professorial appointments in information science, is a Chartered Fellow and Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (UK), and has served in leadership roles across professional and scholarly organizations worldwide.
