Future of the Book debate available to download
In November 2008, OCLC sponsored a debate which provided the climax to a week-long celebration in Edinburgh, called the 'Festival of Libraries'. The debate was both lively and entertaining, offering perspectives from both the world of printed books and eBooks. Michelle Harper, Global Product Manager for eBooks at OCLC, put up a sterling defence for the eBook, but the debate was won by those in favour of print.
The debate rages on, and now you have your own opportunity to listen to the arguments and vote for "print" or "pixel", by visiting our web site and downloading and listening to the speeches before voting, using the voting buttons made available.
