Annual OLIB User Group Conference preview
OCLC are hosting their Annual OLIB User Group Conference at the Hilton Sheffield on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th July. Registration is now open to OLIB users.
The two day conference will include an OLIB product update, training and the opportunity to hear about user experiences, including a presentation from The Family History Library of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints who have been using OLIB since 1996, and with more than 60 cataloguers, are one of OCLC's largest users. Richard Pullin from Health Protection Agency will be running a short workshop on how to capture and process staff publications from Internet-based services for use in OLIB. The programme offers delegates the chance to hear speakers from around the OCLC organisation who will provide an insight into future developments and other OCLC products, including Norbert Weinberger on end user interfaces and Eric Hellman on WorldCat Link Manager. It will also offer you the opportunity to network with other OLIB users and the OCLC (UK) OLIB support, development and product marketing teams.
