Barnet College switch to OLIB
Barnet College, one of the largest further education colleges in England, serving 20,000 students, has gone live with the OLIB library management system, following an extensive procurement programme.
Barnet College operates over five sites across the London Borough of Barnet and is using OLIB in its four Learning Centres to serve 12,000 active borrowers. Barnet College holds a catalogue of over 80,000 plus books, DVDs, videos and over 120 magazine and newspaper subscriptions. Barnet College conducted an evaluation of the library management systems available and chose OLIB as their preferred solution.
Anne Rowlands, Head of Learning Support and Resource Centres and Paul Keightley, Systems Administrator, Barnet College, involved in the procurement process and Garry Waters, Senior Learning Resource Advisor at the college, involved in the OLIB implementation programme, comment: "OLIB was chosen as it was intuitive and flexible and will enhance the students learning experience whether on site or off site."
