Electronic Collections Online : Options : Bibliographic records for journals
Bibliographic records for journalsOCLC provides libraries with customized sets of bibliographic records that match their Electronic Collections Online journal subscription orders and renewals. This service provides MARC records that libraries may add to their local library databases, and results in the addition of libraries' OCLC symbols to records in the WorldCat database. How to order recordsLibraries may order bibliographic records for Electronic Collections Online journals when they place an order or renewal, using the Bibliographic Records for Electronic Collections Online order form. This form must be submitted at the time that a library submits its order or renewal, in order for corresponding bibliographic records to be provided. No charge when requested at order or renewalOCLC bibliographic records are provided at no charge for journals purchased through Electronic Collections Online, when they are requested at the time that an order or renewal is placed. Libraries may consult with staff at their regional service provider for the per-record charge for WorldCat Collection Sets enhancement options. Libraries that obtain bibliographic records for their Electronic Collections Online journals using normal OCLC cataloging services will pay normal cataloging fees for these records. Customize records to your needsLibraries may specify whether they wish to receive records that represent the paper version (print ISSN) or the electronic version (electronic ISSN) of the journal. Record delivery optionsRecords for Electronic Collections Online journals are delivered through the OCLC Electronic Data Exchange (EDX) service. Libraries that want to receive their records via EDX must either use an existing EDX account or establish a new account. EDX accounts must be set up to deliver records from WorldCat Collection Sets. Libraries may subscribe to EDX through the OCLC Product Services Web or by completing the EDX Assessment form.
