OCLC WorldShare Metadata
WorldShare Metadata will provide a complete metadata management solution for physical, licensed and digital resources across multiple formats. This set of new applications and services will be made available in phases over the next three years. The changes are part of OCLC's strategy to provide Webscale solutions to the full range of library management needs, including acquisitions, license management, resource sharing and discovery.
The Article Exchange document-sharing site is now accessible from within the WorldCat Resource Sharing service and through an ILLiad Add-on. This integration of the beta site with OCLC resource sharing services resulted from the positive feedback and valuable input we received about the tool from the resource sharing community.
WorldCat Mobile pilot and WorldCat Local mobile beta
Libraries with a WorldCat Local or WorldCat Local "quick start" implementation can access a custom mobile version of their site at (institutionid).worldcat.org/m, as of June 2011. To support this effort, OCLC held a pilot of mobile access to WorldCat.org from January 2009 through June 2010. The pilot was available in the U.K., U.S., Germany, France, Canada and the Netherlands.
EasyBib Library Edition
OCLC and ImagineEasy Solutions, LLC collaborated to create EasyBib Library Edition, a customizable library version of ImagineEasy Solution's popular EasyBib.com service, the most popular online citation site on the Web. The EasyBib Library Edition service offers additional features that are not available in the basic, premium or school editions.
WorldCat® Copyright Evidence Registry
The WorldCat Copyright Evidence Registry pilot project explored the feasibility of cooperatively building a platform to share information generated by users while conducting copyright evidence investigations. The model proved less than optimal for use by members of the cooperative and the project was concluded.
OCLC has released the first Web-scale cooperative library management service, continuing the progress toward the truly next generation of library services. This continues the 40-years-and-counting strategy of OCLC Cataloging, the benefits of which are visible in global resource sharing via ILL and public access through WorldCat.org.

It is a mashable access point for noncommercial lightweight apps built by developers who may or may not have ties to the library community. The WorldCat Basic API uses OpenSearch and return feeds in Atom and RSS. Results include OCLC number links to WorldCat.org, ISBNs and formatted citations for up to 1,000 requests/day. The WorldCat Search API provides machine-to-machine access to WorldCat bibliographic records and holdings organized to group similar editions of the same item together.
