Morris Levy

Morris Levy joined OCLC in May 2023. He is OCLC’s liaison to the Standing Committee on Standards (SCS) of the Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC), the Music OCLC Users Group (MOUG), and the Cataloging and Metadata Committee (CMC) of the Music Library Association (MLA).

Prior to OCLC, Morris was the Head of Bibliographic Initiatives at The Ohio State University and had previously worked in the respective libraries of the Berklee College of Music, Harvard University, and Northwestern University. He has written articles, catalogs, and encyclopedia entries on musical subjects ranging from opera to country and taught the basic and advanced score cataloging workshops at the 2020 On-line Audiovisual Catalogers (OLAC) Conference. Morris has a bachelor of arts degree in music history/theory from Oberlin College, a master of arts degree in folklore from Indiana University, and a master of library and information science degree from the University of Illinois.
