Description

OCLC Research’s impact is fueled by its active collaborations with stakeholder communities both inside and outside the library field. These collaborations create the space for us to uncover and better understand research needs, learn together, and develop resources that inform, guide, and ground our changing roles, organizations, and work. In this session, Rachel Frick, Executive Director, OCLC Research Library Partnership, highlighted recent examples of OCLC Research’s collaborative initiatives. She was joined by her colleagues Kendra Morgan, WebJunction Senior Program Manager, who presented on a multi-sector collaboration with public libraries in response to the opioid epidemic; and Karen Smith-Yoshimura, Senior Program Officer, who discussed OCLC’s current initiatives around operationalizing linked data.
