Description
OCLC Research has a long history of working with the RLP archives and special collections community to scale learning and collaboratively meet emerging challenges. In October 2017, OCLC Research released the Research and Learning Agenda for Archives, Special, and Distinctive Collections in Research Libraries, which outlines major areas of challenge and opportunity facing our collective collections and operations, and suggests potential avenues for further learning and research.
Intended to guide OCLC work in this area moving forward, as well as to frame larger conversations and spur action across the field, it was created via an iterative, participatory process with the input of dozens of RLP members. In this “office hours” style webinar, RLP Senior Program Officer Chela Scott Weber will give an overview of the Agenda, and then host a conversation for RLP members to ask questions and give input on where action from the RLP would be most beneficial for their institutions.
This webinar will be of interest to special collections and archives professionals, as well as administrators with archives, special, and distinctive collections units in their portfolios.
Works in Progress: An OCLC Research Occasional Webinar Series
These webinars are exclusively for OCLC Research Library Partners, but the recordings are publicly available to all.
Works in Progress: An OCLC Research Occasional Webinar Series to talk about work happening in OCLC Research – we'd like to present our work informally and get feedback from you, our Partners. We'd also like this to be a venue for Partner institutions. What are you working on that everyone should know about? What input would help you move forward? Let us know!
