Chief, Germanic and Slavic Division Acquisitions and Bibliographic Access Directorate, Library of Congress
As Division Chief of the Germanic and Slavic Division of the Acquisitions and Bibliographic Access Directorate at the Library of Congress, I oversee the Library’s acquisition and cataloging of resources published in Germany, Russia, the Scandinavian countries, the Baltics as well as Eastern, Central and Southern Europe. As a long-time member of the DC library community, I have served as Head of Technical Services at American University, the Congressional Research Service at the Library of Congress and Catholic University Law Library. I am active as the DC Representative for the Potomac Technical Processing Librarians (PTPL) organization. In ALA, I am active in LLAMA and ALCTS and I serve on several ALA committees. My scholarship focuses on management of technical services activities in academic libraries. I have a MA in Library Science from the University of Chicago as well as an MA in English from the University of Virginia.
