The recent report series from OCLC Research, Research Information Management in the United States, provides a first-of-its-kind documentation of RIM practices at US research institutions. It closely examines the RIM practices at five research universities and explores the complex uses, decentralization, and duplication of effort prevalent in the US RIM ecosystem. 

But what exactly is a RIM system? Is it the same thing as a CRIS system, research networking system (RNS), or faculty activity reporting (FAR) system? And what does this mean for your institution?

Join us for open office hours to ask questions about this complex landscape, as we particularly focus on the array of RIM system uses. Report authors Rebecca Bryant and Jan Fransen will be on hand to answer questions about this complex ecosystem and about the research publications, specifically. Bring your questions and your own institutional stories. Or just come with questions about the report itself. 

We will have two office hour sessions, and we encourage you to register for the one that best suits your schedule:
