Description

As Resource Sharing operations have grown, modernized, and broadened, libraries are increasingly comfortable loaning legacy formats such as a/v, microformat, curriculum, or other materials. However, sharing of Special Collections materials via Resource Sharing remains a challenge for many libraries due to concerns about fragility, rarity, workflow, approval processes, and other issues. Libraries involved in SHARES, the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA), and the Ivy Plus Libraries have found some solutions to these tricky issues, created some freely available tools, and implemented programs to facilitate the sharing of these rare, and often deeply needed, items. Come hear how we've made it work!

This webinar will be of interest to those working in special collection and resource sharing, as well as those thinking about the future of collections and how to improve services to patrons.

Works in Progress: An OCLC Research Occasional Webinar Series

What are we working on? What are you working on? OCLC Research Library Partners are invited to participate in Works in Progress: An OCLC Research Occasional Webinar Series to talk about work happening in OCLC Research – we'd like to present our work informally and get feedback from you, our Partners. We'd also like this to be a venue for Partner institutions. What are you working on that everyone should know about? What input would help you move forward? Let us know!
