OCLC Research identifies top 10 love stories in libraries in honor of Valentine's Day

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, we’ve identified the top 10 love stories in libraries. This list of the top 10 most widely held books and movies was generated from the OCLC WorldCat database on 13 February 2014 based on the number of OCLC member libraries that own at least one copy of the given book or movie (holdings). The Love Stories genre was used to find top books and the Romance Films genre was used to determine top movies.

View the list and read Lorcan Dempsey’s blog post about it in which he explains why WorldCat acts a good proxy for a large part of the scholarly and cultural record.
