CILIP, the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, teamed up with OCLC Research to hold the Executive Briefing, "Beyond the Silos of the LAMs" on 15 September 2009 in London.

Günter Waibel and Ricky Erway of OCLC Research, co-authors of the well-received report, Beyond the Silos of the LAMs: Collaboration Among Libraries, Archives and Museums, created an impressive agenda that enabled participants to explore the possibilities of bringing library, archive and museum collaboration to their institutions. The agenda, slides and audio recordings of the briefing's presentations are available on the OCLC Research Web site.

We are a worldwide library cooperative, owned, governed and sustained by members since 1967. Our public purpose is a statement of commitment to each other—that we will work together to improve access to the information held in libraries around the globe, and find ways to reduce costs for libraries through collaboration.
