EAD@10 Symposium Proceedings Now Available

PowerPoint presentations and MP3 audio files from the symposium in August to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Encoded Archival Description (EAD) are now available online.

Sponsored by the Society of American Archivists (SAA) and RLG Programs, the symposium featured European speakers who discussed how EAD has been implemented in their countries, as well as a group of innovative archivists who presented their forward-thinking views about what the next ten years may bring.

Merrilee Proffitt and Jackie Dooley from OCLC Research are working with panelists to make the full proceedings from the day available for those who were unable to attend. More material will be available in the future, including edited versions of the papers presented at the symposium.

We are a worldwide library cooperative, owned, governed and sustained by members since 1967. Our public purpose is a statement of commitment to each other—that we will work together to improve access to the information held in libraries around the globe, and find ways to reduce costs for libraries through collaboration.
