The International Conference on Dublin Core and Metadata Applications 2004 will be held October 11-14, 2004 at the Shanghai (China) Library.

The annual Dublin Core conferences focus on metadata research and applications.  The theme of DC-2004 is Metadata Across Languages and Cultures.

Sponsored in partnership with the Shanghai Library, DC-2004 is the annual conference of the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI).

DCMI promotes the widespread adoption of interoperable metadata standards and develops specialized metadata vocabularies for describing resources that enable more intelligent information discovery systems.
