DC-2004 Conference to be held October 11-14 in Shanghai (China)

The Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI) will hold its 2004 conference October 11-14, 2004 at the Shanghai Library (China).

The annual Dublin Core conferences focus on metadata research and applications.  DC2004: International Conference on Dublin Core and Metadata Applications is sponsored in partnership with the Shanghai Library.

DCMI promotes the widespread adoption of interoperable metadata standards and develops specialized metadata vocabularies for describing resources that enable more intelligent information discovery systems.

OCLC Online Computer Library Center, a nonprofit, membership, computer library service and research organization, is a key supporter of Dublin Core and has hosted the DCMI directorate since its inception in 1995.
