Introduction to the new WorldCat.org
The new WorldCat.org delivers a better user experience, increases the impact of libraries on the web, and gives libraries more ways to engage with people in their communities and beyond. It also gives users convenient access to local library e-resources. This program provides an introduction to the redesigned WorldCat.org, including a live demonstration and an update on recent and planned changes. Presenters will also share recommendations for maximizing library impact on the site.

Libraries reach only a small percentage of potential users through their own websites and communications. This program features experts who will discuss opportunities to expand community engagement beyond libraries’ physical and virtual locations through initiatives like direct links from Google Search and a new WorldCat.org website that reach information seekers in the places they turn to first for information.
