FirstSearch/WorldCat Discovery subscriptions are based on FTE or community served, with the goal of having a subscription that is within reach for every size and type of library. You can subscribe as an individual library or through a group purchase made on your library's behalf.

FirstSearch. Deliver the precision searching and detailed search results required by expert searchers and library staff in areas such as reference, interlibrary loan, and collection development.
WorldCat Discovery. Enable people to find and get resources from your library and libraries worldwide through a single search of WorldCat and more than 3,000 familiar e-content collections.
Web visibility. For libraries with holdings in WorldCat, the subscription makes your library visible on WorldCat.org to people who begin their research on search engines and non-library websites such as Wikipedia, Goodreads, and Google Books. WorldCat Discovery Premium subscriptions include features not included in a FirstSearch/WorldCat Discovery subscription:
- Item location and real-time availability. Show users what's available in your local library collections (branches, departments, etc.) plus availability status from a local ILS.
- Group views. Maximize and reinforce the value of your library's group affiliations.
- Remote database recommendations. Display database recommendations that guide searchers to additional content beyond the central index to deliver access to as much of your library's valuable licensed content as possible.
- Course reserves/reading lists. Build temporary collections of resources organized by course, subject, or readers' advisory lists.
- Item details configuration. Customize the display of data from MARC records, including local bibliographic data (LBD), in item details.
