DUBLIN, Ohio, 15 September 2025El Paso Community College (EPCC) is now using OCLC's WorldShare Management Services (WMS) as its library services platform to improve efficiencies, modernize resource management, and support students and faculty in today's digital world.

"Our transition to WMS revolutionizes the EPCC student and instructional faculty experience, providing 24/7 access to academic resources and breaking down barriers to learning," said Lorely Ambriz, EPCC District Wide Library Coordinator and EPCC Lead of the Library Migration Project. "This upgrade streamlines library research and enhances efficiency while ensuring seamless integration with evolving technology."

"By optimizing workflows, reducing manual processes, and modernizing resource management, the migration not only supports students in a digital-first world but also strengthens business operations. This allows library staff to focus on delivering top-tier support and innovation," Ambriz continued.

With an annual enrollment of 25,000 students, El Paso Community College offers more than 130 programs across five campuses in El Paso County, Texas. The college serves many first-generation college students, military families, and offers numerous partnerships with K-12 school districts, four-year universities, and innovative learning options.

WorldShare Management Services, built with WorldCat as its foundation, allows library staff to better meet the teaching, learning, and research needs of their users. With cataloging, circulation, acquisitions, e-resource management, and resource sharing capabilities, WMS makes it possible for libraries of all sizes to use their resources to make the greatest impact while easily extending their reach beyond their own electronic and print collections.

"We're excited to welcome El Paso Community College to the growing WorldShare community," said Mary Sauer-Games, OCLC Chief Product Officer. "WMS will help connect library users on five EPCC campuses to their rich collections, and to collections of thousands of other libraries around the world."
