Paolo Sirito
Head of the Central Library, Milan Campus, Catholic University of Sacred Heart
Paolo Sirito is the Head of the Central Library, Milan Campus, of the Catholic University of Sacred Heart, in Milan, Italy, where he started in 2009 as Head of Reference and Cataloguing Services. Previously, he worked for the Document and Workflow Business Unit of AlmavivA, a large IT and CRM group. From 1997 to 2007 he held various positions in the Deutsche Bank Group, including Research & Studies, e-Business, and Project Management. His first professional experience was as library consultant for Cenfor International. He holds a degree in Political Sciences from Università degli Studi di Genova.
Mr. Sirito's areas of expertise include the implementation of library technologies with initiatives to modernize library systems, such as an AI-driven "Intelligent Platform" to improve the discovery of quality information sources. This reflects his interest in digital library innovation and enhancing user engagement with library resources. Mr. Sirito has served on Leaders Council since 2025.
