Director of the Library, Roanoke College
Elizabeth G. McClenney is the Director of Fintel Library at Roanoke College. She joined Roanoke College in July 2015. Prior to her arrival at Roanoke College, Elizabeth served of Deputy Director of the Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library. Elizabeth has also held positions at the University of California – Santa Barbara as Associate University Librarian for Technical Services; Associate Librarian – Technical Services at Virginia State University; Access Services Department Head and Bibliographic Systems Librarian, Old Dominion University; LC Unit Head at Georgia State University; and Cataloger at William & Mary. From 2013 – 2019, Elizabeth was member of the LYRASIS Board of Trustees, a non-profit member organization for archives, libraries, museums and knowledge communities. She served as the Chair of the LYRASIS Board of Trustees from 2016 – 2018. She currently serves on the William & Mary Libraries Board of Directors. She is a member of the American Library Association and the Association of College and Research Libraries and several of its sections. Elizabeth holds a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from William & Mary.
