In keeping with OCLC’s efforts to ensure our member libraries are positioned for success, we have released Tipasa, the first cloud-based ILL management system. OCLC’s intent is that, over time, the ILLiad community will choose Tipasa. This process will take multiple years as we further develop Tipasa to support the complex needs of various library types. We are working closely with ILLiad users to ensure that their eventual move to Tipasa improves the library user experience. We will continue to support and enhance ILLiad throughout this process. OCLC ILLiad software was developed by the interlibrary loan staff at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and has been expanded and further enhanced by Atlas Systems, Inc., the primary developer for OCLC ILLiad. Atlas Systems continues to be a vital provider to OCLC for support and development of this product.
