Flexible installation options for ILLiad

Whether you just need some extra help setting up ILLiad or require offsite hosting of the servers, OCLC and Atlas Systems can give you solid support through reliable installation options.

Onsite installation

Trained Atlas Systems staff will spend 1 day at your library to install the ILLiad client and provide you with training on the ILLiad service.

Hosted server option

OCLC can provide server hosting to ILLiad users. This optional service includes all of the hardware and software components needed as well as all backups, system and software upgrades, and customization and installation time from the developers.

Everything else you need you already have: workstations for staff, base client software and on site accessories (printers and scanners). The hosted server option:

  • Removes all server-related tasks for an OCLC ILLiad operation.
  • Provides a centralized location to handle servers for multiple site installations.
  • Assures rapid implementation—most sites can be live within three weeks.
  • Allows server installation and upgrades to be carried out by the developers.
  • Means no future costs for hardware or software upgrades.
  • Employs hardware in server hosting that greatly exceeds OCLC ILLiad base requirements.
  • Translates increased data protection into decreased down times.
... I really appreciate the support and convenience of being hosted, particularly around upgrade times when everything is done from OCLC’s end.”
