What version of DDC is now current?  Will WebDewey reflect the new edition in advance, simultaneously, or after publication of DDC 22? 

The WebDewey database is updated quarterly.  The first two quarterly releases of calendar year 2003 in January and April contain updates from the DDC 21 database.  The April release will be the last one based on the updated DDC 21 database.  The WebDewey July release and the DDC 22 print versions will be based on the DDC 22 database and issued simultaneously.  The initial electronic release and the print version will be the same in terms of the content of the schedules and tables, but WebDewey will contain many more built numbers and index entries.  The Library of Congress plans to start assigning DDC 22 numbers on July 1, 2003.
