I understand you will install DDC Edition 22 to WebDewey soon. Can you tell us what to expect?
You are correct; on June 15, 2003, we are scheduled to install the enhanced DDC 22 database to WebDewey. Please refer to the Dewey web site at: http://www.oclc.org/dewey/enhancements/enhancement03.htm for a brief list of content changes, as well as an explicit list of interface changes.
Additional content-related changes are available in New Features, located on the Dewey web site in PDF format at http://www.oclc.org/dewey/versions/ddc22print/new_features.pdf. You can also find Relocations, Discontinuations, and Reused Numbers in PDF-format on the Dewey web site at: http://www.oclc.org/dewey/versions/ddc22print/Relocations_and_discontinuations.pdf.
Dewey Services users can also find a downloadable, MS Excel-version file of Relocations, Discontinuations, and Reused Numbers located in OCLC Connexion's Help. This file may be downloaded by Dewey Services subscribers for local planning purposes. There are several ways to find this file (and New Features) in Help. For example, you may search Help for "new features," "relocations," "discontinuations," or "reused." Any of these terms will lead you to the WebDewey overview. Select the subtopic Edition 22 of the Dewey Decimal Classification, and you will find the links to New Features and also Relocations, Discontinuations, and Reused Numbers.
