Mapping new CSH with DDC numbers

Here you can browse new Canadian Subject Headings (CSH) with suggested DDC numbers. Each month, the Dewey editorial team maps new CSH to candidate numbers from the current DDC edition. The goal of the service is to associate terminology for Canadian topics of interest with the DDC. The list of DDC numbers is not exhaustive, and you should also consult the DDC schedules and tables before applying a number from this list.

Canadian Subject Headings (CSH) is a list of subject headings in the English language, using controlled vocabulary, to access and express the subject content of documents on Canada and Canadian topics. CSH headings have been used with the permission of Library and Archives Canada. More information about CSH is available at http://www.nlc-bnc.ca/6/23/index-e.html.

An archive of CSH postings is available through OCLC's Digital Archive
