I am familiar with the Dewey hierarchies and find the reiteration of them on schedule pages distracting.  That space could be better used for listing more of the notes!

Because you are familiar with the hierarchy inherent in the DDC, you know that hierarchies are expressed through both structure and notation.  Structural hierarchy means that topics below the class level (there are ten main classes) are subordinate to, and part of, the broader topics above, and vice versa.  Whatever is true of the general topic is true of all of its subordinate topics.  This principle is referred to as "hierarchical force."  Notational hierarchy is expressed by length of notation.  Numbers at any given level are usually subordinate to a class whose notation is one digit shorter; coordinate to a class whose notation has the same number of significant digits; and superordinate to a class with numbers one or more digits longer.  In the Dewey record below, 333.952 is coordinate to 333.954; 333.954 is subordinate to 333.95; and 333 is superordinate to 333.9.

Fortunately, if you do not wish to see the reiteration of the hierarchy on each page, you may turn them off.  To do this, navigate to the General tab and select Admin Options, Preferences

Then select Dewey Services Options

At this point, the DDC Record Options allow you to Hide the Hierarchy
