CONTENTdm Featured Collections: April 2011
Organizations worldwide are using CONTENTdm Digital Collection Management Software to create thousands of outstanding digital collections and to provide easy access to their unique holdings.
This month, four collections from the CONTENTdm Collection of Collections are featured on the OCLC website. The featured collections for April are Ceramics Highlights from the Williamson Gallery, Celebrate Undergraduate Research and Creativity, Phillis Wheatley's Poems on Various Subjects (1773) and Pennsylvania Geology.

Ceramics Highlights from the Williamson Gallery
Claremont University Consortium
An international collection of contemporary ceramics, including American, British, Japanese, Korean and Mexican works. The collection's core is focused on West Coast ceramics, especially the work of the "Otis Group" who challenged the traditional direction of the field of ceramics in the mid-1950s.

Celebrate Undergraduate Research & Creativity provides a venue for integrating experiential learning into the undergraduate curriculum. The goals include providing scholarships for bright, ambitious Colorado State undergraduates and fostering a close connection between faculty and students.

Phillis Wheatley's Poems on Various Subjects (1773)

Wheatley's Poems on Various Subjects, Religious and Moral (London, 1773) is the first book published by an African-American author, and the frontispiece portrait of Wheatley is the only surviving work by the African-American slave artist Scipio Moorhead (born ca. 1750).

This collection contains materials relating to the geology and water resources of Pennsylvania as published by the Pennsylvania Geological Survey, U.S. Geological Survey, and others. Included are materials from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Pennsylvania Geological Surveys. Types of materials include geological and hydrological reports as well as geological maps and atlases.
