Transformative Leaders: Using linked data to enhance discovery experiences
Join us for this 30-minute webinar that continues the conversation about linked data and what it can do for your library. We'll discuss how linked data will help libraries connect and scale knowledge, fuel discovery, and contribute to the global information ecosystem.
During this webinar, attendees will learn how linked data helps libraries:
- Connect and scale knowledge—Linked data enables libraries to showcase their value by connecting local resources more easily across systems and to wider information streams—within the library field, across campus and communities, and throughout the web.
- Fuel serendipitous discovery—Linked data adds context to the description process and creates connections that can lead to unexpected discovery experiences, like a new approach to investigating a complex research question.
- Contribute to the global information ecosystem—Linked data harmonizes library metadata with other data formats and technologies, making it consumable by machines and emerging technologies and, ultimately, making it easier to find, index, and share.
