Kimberley Bugg
CEO and Director of Woodruff Library, Atlanta University Center
Kimberley Bugg is CEO and Library Director of the Atlanta University Center Woodruff Library, which serves Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, and Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. Before AUC Woodruff Library, she was Chief of the Researcher & Reference Services Division at the Library of Congress. Dr. Bugg holds a PhD in Library Science, Masters of Library Science, Masters of Liberal Arts, and a BA in Speech Communications. She is also a graduate of the UCLA Library Fellows Program.
Dr. Bugg's areas of expertise include academic library innovation and user services. She is committed to cultivating reflective, culturally competent library leadership. Her record of professional service correlates with her scholarly activities. Dr. Bugg maintains active membership in ALA, ACRL, BCALA, and IFLA. Currently, she serves as Vice-Chair of the HBCU Library Alliance Board of Directors and serves on the ACRL Board of Directors. Dr. Bugg has served on Leaders Council since 2025.
