In March 2021, OCLC Research held a webinar disucssing the work three UK institutions are doing in the area of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) to help bridge the gap. As part of this, we created a Word Wall, where attendees could share what was happening at their own institutions and in what areas they would like more information. A repeated topic of the Word Wall was marketing, and what could be done to increase visibility of collections in this area to faculty, students, stakeholders, and the external community. Also, how could initiatives taking place be promoted to increase awareness of the library and its efforts in this area, as well as helping to increase the engagement with the target audience in order to better understand current and future needs.
View this on-demand webinar in which we share some real-life examples from the University of Southampton and the V&A, whilst also exploring different tips and techniques to increase your presence and reach across your institution and beyond.
