Create an account

You'll need an account to purchase and manage OCLC products and services online., FirstSearch and WebJunction users. If you already have a registered account with, the FirstSearch reference service or the WebJunction online community, you can Log on to the Online Service Center with that user name and password. You may be asked to provide additional information to complete your account.

Type of account

If you are only ordering items for yourself, select "Personal only" below. However, OCLC online services such as FirstSearch are sold only to libraries and similar cultural heritage institutions such as museums. If you will be ordering OCLC online services or if you will be ordering items for your institution, you will need to create an "Institution" account.


If this is simply a personal account and you will not be purchasing for a library or information institution, please skip this section and click Continue.

If your institution is a current OCLC participant, please enter its OCLC symbol so we can associate your account with your institution. If your institution is not a current OCLC participant, leave the OCLC symbol field blank.

If you are unsure, you can search for your institution's symbol. Contact your OCLC customer support for further assistance.
