Syndetic Solutions content in WorldCat Local

More evaluative content to inform users’ research

OCLC and Syndetic Solutions are partnering to offer access to evaluative content including cover art, reviews and summaries in WorldCat Local. When enabled, this content helps WorldCat Local users more easily determine which items in search results will fulfill their research needs.

All WorldCat Local libraries in North America (Canada, US, Mexico) Central America, Caribbean, and South America may choose to display content from Syndetic Solutions on a WorldCat Local site, whether they subscribe to the content through OCLC or directly from Syndetic Solutions.

Library staff members control the timing of enabling access to this content on their WorldCat Local sites. To make this content visible to your users, log on to your library’s profile in the “Optional Content Display” > "Syndetic Solutions Enrichment Content” section of “My WorldCat.org” in the OCLC Service Configuration module. Once you set the “Display Syndetics data” to “Show” the content will begin to display to users.
