Director since 1997, Daniel Boivin assumes the financial, managerial and marketing responsibility for the division. Prior to becoming Director of OCLC Canada, Mr. Boivin owned a company that distributed electronic databases in Canada. He has been an account manager for a leading library automation vendor and an automated services librarian and cataloger at the Canadian Institute for Scientific and Technical Information, National Research Council Canada. He is a member of the Canadian Library Association, the Corporation of Professional Librarians of Quebec and the Association pour l'avancement des Sciences et des Techniques en Documentation. Mr. Boivin holds a Diploma in Pure and Applied Science from Cégep de Trois-Rivières, a Bachelor of Geology degree from the University of Montreal, a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Montreal and a Master of Business Administration degree from Concordia University.

Andy joined OCLC Canada in July of 2002. He consults with libraries in Ontario, Québec and Atlantic Canada on the effective use of OCLC products and services. Prior to this, he held positions of Account Manager for Canada for DRA Information Inc. and Sirsi Canada and was instrumental in migrating mutliLIS libraries to the SIRSI Unicorn system. Andyàs first library position after university was as Coordinator of the Great Whale Project Documentation Centre for the Grand Council of the Cree. He holds a Bacheloràs degree in East European history and a Masters in Library and Information Science from McGill University.

Nigel brings many years of library and sales experience to OCLC Canada. Before starting his own consulting business in 2001, he worked in various libraries in Great Britain and Canada for 10 years and was an Account Manager with Faxon Canada (western Canada) for 7 years. He served as the CASLIS President and on the CLA board for 2 years. He holds an undergraduate honors degree in library science and an MBA, both from the University of Wales in Aberystwyth.

Manon joined OCLC Canada in 1998. Her primary role is support, training and implementation of OCLC services and products. If you need help with a product or service, are not sure who to call, or you need training, Manon will be glad to help you. Manon graduated in 1983 as a library technician at Collège De Maisonneuve in Montreal. Prior to joining OCLC, she worked in many fields including special and public libraries. She also worked as a training and support specialist for a library automation vendor.

Claudine Boudreau joined the ranks of OCLC Canada in 2007. Her tasks consist of responding and following up on all queries regarding OCLC products and services especially EContent. Thanks to her constant presence in our office, Claudine is able to maintain contact with OCLC Library Services Consultants at all times when they are on the road visiting libraries thus ensuring efficient and successful follow up of questions. Prior to joining OCLC Canada, Claudine worked in the field of customer service.

Sylvie is the first point of contact between OCLC Canada and prospective users. Her main responsibilities are to assist the director and provide support to the library services consultants and staff members. Her tasks include administrative duties, general clerical support, event preparation, and meeting and travel arrangements.

Translator

Anne has been with OCLC Canada since January 2002 and is OCLC's primary French translator. In addition to translating press releases and OCLC news, she regularly updates OCLC’s products and Web services including FirstSearch, WorldCat.org, QuestionPoint, NetLibrary and CONTENTdm. Prior to joining OCLC, Anne worked for eight years as a translator for a leading library automation vendor, translating several library systems and acquiring valuable knowledge in library services and automation systems. Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts with a Specialization in Translation from Concordia University.
