Share your library’s community engagement success stories

We are bringing library voices together with #EngagedLibraries, a new social media campaign that invites library workers to share stories of community engagement success.

By sharing, you’ll contribute to an important conversation about the impact of community engagement. We’ll also reshare some of your incredible stories on OCLC’s social media channels and website to further the conversation and inspire the global library community.

1. Pick a social media channel—or better yet, channels—to share your story.

Consider posting ideas that your peers might find helpful, highlights of impactful programs and partnerships, or breakthrough celebrations and the people who made them happen. You can find more inspiration in the following section.

2. Click the sharing buttons to start a post.

Next, write your story, add photos or a short video, and tag your library or other profiles. Be sure to include #EngagedLibraries and tag @OCLC in your post.

3. Follow the conversation.

Learn what other libraries are doing and contribute your own ideas and stories to inspire others.

In addition to new resources and other helpful information, we’ll also share stories of inspiring library community engagement using #EngagedLibraries on our social media channels. We plan to keep the conversation growing by posting interesting news articles, relevant programs and events, and resharing posts that feature #EngagedLibraries. And who knows—it could even be yours!
