Classify Web Service Bug
We wanted to let the community know that a recent install introduced a bug in the Classify web service. Typically the web service allows developers to send in a search by ISBN. This parameter is currently broken in the web service.
So the following request will fail:
http://classify.oclc.org/classify2/Classify?isbn=0679442723
with a response of
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <classify xmlns="http://classify.oclc.org"> <!--Classify is a product of OCLC Online Computer Library Center: http://classify.oclc.org--> <input type="noParam">null</input> <response code="100"/> </classify>
We will update you when we have a date for the fix to be installed. In the interim the Standard number index can also be used to search for an ISBN.
Example:
http://classify.oclc.org/classify2/Classify?stdnbr=0679442723
