I wanted to be sure to let you know that we recently disabled the comments functionality here on the Developer Network site. Unfortunately, we were just about overcome by spam — to find your treasures amongst the trash, we would have had to put off other activities that support the Developer Network community -- things like writing doc and demo code and planning for Developer House. And that didn't seem like a good decision. As we considered ways we could raise the barriers to submit comments, the options started to feel, well, just a tiny bit mean. And certainly more work than we'd willingly ask you to go through. So disabling comments was really the least worst option.
There are still a couple of convenient ways you can reach us - and we encourage you to get in touch:
- The wc-devnet-l listserv is a great place to share your thoughts on anything we post or anything you're working on.
- You can email us directly at DevNet[AT]oclc.org. That email comes to me (Shelley), Alice, Karen, and Steve and we're always happy to hear from you.
We're continuing to think about this and will look at additional options so that we can re-enable comments on the site in the future. In the meantime, we're eager to hear your comments, questions, and feedback (Unless you're selling salvaged building material, knock off purses, or medication.).
