Director, OCLC Library
Larry joined OCLC in 1986 and since 1993 has been Director of the OCLC Library. He has also worked in academic, public and school libraries. Larry has an MLS from Kent State University and a PhD from The Ohio State University. He is a member of ALA, SLA, and ASIS&T and has served on the boards of several local library organizations as well. He has written or co-authored articles published in RUSA Quarterly and Journal of Documentation and currently writes book reviews for Library Journal. Because of his fluency in Spanish, he has been invited to speak to audiences in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Spain about library-related topics. He is professionally engaged on several library organization boards and was a member of the visiting faculty of the Kent State University School of Library and Information Science.
Larry speaks on a variety of topics including special librarianship, information-seeking and usage patterns, data mining, valuing libraries, and the OCLC Archives.
