As of August 31, 2017, OCLC no longer supports EZproxy V5.7.44.
If you are not yet ready to upgrade to the current version at this time, OCLC recommends that you upgrade to V5.7.44 for security reasons.
The following table contains links to installation and update instructions for EZproxy V5.7.44 on Linux, Windows, and Solaris. The executable files themselves can be downloaded from this table as well, or from within the instructions. Additional information about this release can be found on the EZproxy Release Notes page.
Note: Firefox and Chrome block access to webservers that have SSL 3 enabled. If you have not upgraded to EZproxy 5.7.44, you still have SSL 3 enabled, and you will receive this error message when trying to connect to site using EZproxy. Upgrading EZproxy to 5.7.44 or later versions will resolve this problem as SSL 3 is disabled by default. OCLC also recommends that you disable SSL 2 using the Option DisableSSLv2 directive. For more details about this security configuration and other settings, please see EZproxy Security FAQ.
