Libraries as Community Catalysts

Libraries are the heart of their communities, whether the community is a college campus, a small, rural township, or urban center. OCLC works with libraries to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and support to meet the ever-evolving needs of their communities.

Scaling continuous learning

Skilled, confident library practitioners are the foundation of innovative library service. Our WebJunction program designs and delivers learning at scale, through online training programs, self-directed study, and facilitated peer-to-peer support. We use tools of collaboration, applied research, and learning networks to bring new ideas and innovations to more libraries. This approach ensures that all libraries—regardless of size, type, or geographic location—can effectively use and share resources toward common goals.
