We understand that selecting a new library management system is a major decision, and the research, review and evaluation process is different for every institution. We have a team of Library Services Consultants who can help you get all of the information you need to make an informed decision.
More than 750 libraries worldwide have selected WMS, a cloud-based library services platform that helps you more efficiently manage all your library’s collections. With WorldCat and other shared data at its foundation, WMS enables you to draw on the collaborative work of libraries worldwide for more streamlined workflows. Launched in 2011, WMS provides advanced technology and tools for both your library staff and users.
Hear Sarah Keil, Systems and Electronic Resources Librarian and Beth Purtee, Technical Services Librarian share how their library's cloud-based library management system is facilitating success.
Defining success with WMS: Trevecca Nazarene University
[Recording Duration: 30 minutes]
WMS gave me the time to do several big projects including scanning and digitizing our archives to help celebrate our college’s 100th anniversary. And now we’re really promoting that I can help students with reference questions. And now I’m spending more time helping students than doing technical services.
WMS, with its WorldCat Discovery interface, is the right tool for open access. The metadata is better. The searching is way better. And you can use the advanced search tools to find what you want.
