Shuqing Chu is the Director of Zhejiang Public Library, and also a researcher in Library Science. He is a Standing Committee Member of International IFLA Metropolitan Libraries Section, a board member of Academic Board and the director of the Library Management Committee in Library Society of China, a committee member of Public Cultural Service System Construction Committee. He is an honorary citizen of US Hanswales City. He is also an outstanding worker of China Ministry of Culture, Role Model of China Libraries, and Star of 10th China Art Festival held by China Ministry of Culture.
