Collaborative collections and OCLC’s Shared Print API
Understanding collection compositions can be challenging. In this webinar you’ll learn how OCLC’s Shared Print API makes it easier for libraries to see which materials will be retained by other institutions and which should be retained locally.

As library collections evolve along with the needs of their users, there is an increasing need to manage local print collections to operationalize the collective collection. OCLC’s Shared Print service allows libraries to register shared print commitments and see materials that other institutions have committed to retain, helping them better manage their local print collection.
Join us on 29 April 2020 to learn how OCLC’s Shared Print API supports and enhances shared print initiatives by helping libraries match the retention commitments in their local catalog, find the OCLC numbers for the items that they’re retaining locally, and see how many of their locally retained titles are unique.
