Connect with OCLC colleagues at the Public Library Association’s 2016 Conference. You're invited to the events we have planned for April 6 and 7.
OCLC Update Lunch: What patrons want—from data to impact. How can we design library services that attract potential users and build lasting relationships? That is the question OCLC Senior Research Scientist Lynn Silipigni Connaway, PhD, considers in her recent compilation, The Library in the Life of the User: Engaging with People Whereey Live and Learn. Join Lynn on April 6 as she discusses key learnings from more than a decade of work studying people’s information-seeking behaviors. She’ll present her findings and some simple recommendations on how these data can help libraries design more user-centric services. Lunch will be provided.
On April 7, we have three additional events planned:
- The Dewey Breakfast: an update on the Dewey Decimal Classification
- Virtual Reference Roundtable—Creating Patron Breakthroughs
- Developing Success with Digital Collections
Please register for these events in advance.
The OCLC team will also be available to connect at booth #1513 so stop by to see what's new.
