DUBLIN, Ohio, 5 March 2020—The University of Roehampton has selected OCLC's WorldShare Management Services (WMS) as their new library services platform to improve workflow efficiencies and the user experience.

An advanced, cloud-based library services platform, WMS integrates electronic and print resource management workflows into one interface, helping to provide library users quicker access to electronic materials. Including hundreds of standard reports and the ability to create custom ones, WMS provides data to improve library activities and track key metrics used in the decision-making process.

"WMS gives us the power to deliver a digital library experience to match our award-winning library," said Anne Pietsch, Head of Collections and Academic Engagement at the University of Roehampton. "Students and staff will connect with our collections through an intuitive and accessible interface wherever they prefer to work and study. We will be able to develop more evidence-based services, integrate further with key university business systems, and deliver efficiencies in our workflows."

"We are pleased to collaborate with OCLC in developing our library offer and we look forward to being part of an active community, sharing best practice and developments," said Pietsch.

The University of Roehampton initially consisted of four teaching colleges, the first one dating as far back as 1841. In 2004, Roehampton was granted independent university status after a four and a half year federation with the University of Surrey. They opened their new state-of-the-art library in 2017 with more than 350,000 books and 1,200 new study spaces.

"We are delighted that the University of Roehampton has joined the WMS community. It is great to see libraries working together to draw on the collaborative data and work of libraries worldwide to increase their efficiency and access to collections," said Eric van Lubeek, Vice President, Managing Director, OCLC EMEA & APAC.
