Dublin-based OCLC among 'Healthiest' for fifth consecutive year

DUBLIN, Ohio, March 13, 2018—OCLC has been named among the "Healthiest Employers in Central Ohio" for the fifth consecutive year. The nonprofit global technology organization was among 14 recognized in the large company category by the Healthiest Employers Awards Program.

Based in Dublin, OCLC provides technology services and research to thousands of libraries around the world. OCLC and its member libraries cooperatively produce and maintain WorldCat, the world's most comprehensive global network of data about library collections.

"We appreciate this award, and consider it recognition of our continued support for a culture that values health and wellness," said Skip Prichard, OCLC President and CEO. "OCLC is committed to offering a healthy workplace. Our comprehensive health benefits and programs are investments in people. We will continue to support and promote health and wellness at OCLC headquarters in Central Ohio, and in our offices around the world."

OCLC offers a wide variety of wellness programs, financial rewards and incentives. These include on-site biometric screenings, health assessments, telephonic and on-site health coaching, a subsidized full-service cafeteria with healthy options, dietary support, a health and well-being library and an on-site, 24/7 fitness center that includes basketball, racquetball and sand volleyball courts.

The Healthiest Employers Awards Program is organized by Columbus Business First in partnership with Healthiest Employers LLC. The program is intended to identify companies in the region that go the extra mile to create an environment for workers to be active, fit and healthy.
